The Productivity Efficiency Triad™ is a powerful concept…

As a leader you can use it to improve not only yours but also your team’s productivity and efficiency to achieve goals more effectively.

The triad consists of three core tenets: Leadership, Ownership, and Accountability.

The Productvi

Leadership is about taking charge and guiding others towards a common goal. It’s about setting a clear vision and leading by example.

In comparison, the opposite of leadership is spectatorship. This is when someone sits on the sidelines and doesn’t take an active role in achieving the goal.

Embracing leadership means you take charge, this will improve communication and teamwork, as everyone is working towards the same objective.

This common clear vision results not only in the leader being inspired but the team as well.

Ownership is about taking responsibility for your actions and the outcomes you produce. It’s about being fully committed to the task in hand and doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

In contrast, the opposite of ownership is blame, when someone looks to others to take responsibility for their mistakes or shortcomings.

By taking ownership, an individual is fully committed to the task at hand and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. This can lead to improved efficiency, as the individual is focused on achieving the goal and not placing blame on others.

Individuals can then develop a sense of pride in their work and feel more invested in the outcome, their work and ultimately themselves.

Accountability is about being answerable for your actions and the outcomes they produce. It’s about being transparent and being willing to admit when you’ve made a mistake.

The opposition of accountability is excuses, where someone tries to shift the blame onto someone else overlooking their own actions.

By being accountable, an individual is willing to admit when they’ve made a mistake. This can lead to improved communication and trust within a team, as others know that they can rely on the individual to take responsibility for their actions.

Additionally, by being accountable, an individual can learn from their mistakes and will help them to make improvements for the future.

When all three tenets of the Productivity Efficiency Triad™  are embraced and executed, it leads to a more productive and efficient leadership and team performance.

  • Leadership sets the direction and vision.
  • Ownership ensures everyone is fully committed.
  • Accountability ensures everyone is answerable for their actions and their outcomes.

By working together and embracing these tenets, individuals and teams can achieve great things and incorporate more efficient and effective practices, they will all improve their leadership skills and become more productive in their work.
